Your child will be welcomed by caring leaders in a safe and secure environment. Our children's ministry leaders are trained and undergo background checks. We want you to feel confident leaving your child in our care so you can worship knowing they're safe, loved, and learning about Jesus.

Questions about Kids Ministry at HiWay Baptist Church
How does Kids check-in work?
When you arrive, you'll check your child in and receive the information you need for pickup. Our team will help you get your child to the appropriate classroom and make sure you know where to pick them up afterward.
What ages are included in HiWay Kids?
HiWay Kids is for children from birth through 6th grade. We provide age-appropriate environments designed to help children learn about Jesus, build friendships, and grow in their faith.
Can parents visit the Kid Ministry areas?
For security reasons, we do not allow parents to visit the rooms during service times. However, campus volunteers can show your family around and introduce you to the HiWay Kids team between services.
How does HiWay keep my child safe?
Your child's safety is important to us. Our Kids team follows HiWay's safety policies, and children's ministry leaders are screened and trained. We want you to feel confident that your child is in a safe, caring environment.
What if my child is nervous or doesn't want me to leave?
That's completely normal! Our Kids team is experienced in helping children feel comfortable in a new environment. If your child needs extra attention, we'll work with you to make the transition as easy as possible.
Where does my child go when we arrive?
Our Kids Ministry is located in two buildings. If your child is birth - kindergarten, take them to Building C. If they are 1st-6th grade, take them to the back of Building D. If it's your first visit, look for our Kids team and we'll help you find the right place for your child.
Do you have activities outside of Sundays and Wednesdays?
Yes! Throughout the year we have special events, VBS, Kids Camp, family events, and other opportunities for kids to build friendships and grow in their relationship with Jesus. Click here to see all big events coming up.
